POP3/SMPT/IMAP Email Accounts
Many email clients, such as Outlook Express, can be used with POP3. POP3 is a type of email that transfers messages directly onto your computer at home or work. SMTP access allows you to send email through your server. IMAP is a type of email that allows you to store and file email messages in different folders on the server. Unlike POP, IMAP Email does not permanently download messages onto your computer at home or work, they are stored on the server for easy access from anywhere. IMAP is ideal for people who need comprehensive email access and functionality from more than one location.
Web Mail
This allows customers with domain names to read their e-mail messages by either using popular POP3 email clients (such as Microsoft Outlook or Qualcomm Eudora) or by logging into WebMail under their domain (that is, www.yourdomain.com/webmail). E-mail messages can also be stored and filed online through the WebMail interface or brought down to the local computer by using the e-mail client application.
Spam Filters (Spam Assassin)
We include Spam Assassin spam protection with every hosting account. Spam Assassin allows you to trace, filter out and delete spam messages coming to your mailbox. When you enable Spam Assassin for a mailbox, you can use Spam Assassin preferences configured for a mail domain or configure it individually for a specific mailbox. The system doesn't delete messages recognized as spam. It only marks them as spam and delivers them in a regular way. You can set your mail program to move these emails into a separate directory for later review or you can delete them.
Anti-Virus Scanning
All email sent and received through our mail servers are automatically scanned by our Anti Virus software. If a virus is detected, it is removed and you are notified about this action.
Auto-Responders
Auto-Responder is a program, automatically returns prewritten messages, frequently used for businesses or individuals to distribute a canned response such as a product list, directions, or information that you might not want to put directly on a web page.
Mailing Address List
We can establish distribution lists that contain commonly used lists of email addresses, such as clients, members, family, etc.
Mail Forwarding
Once your domain name is active worldwide, you can receive all e-mail addressed to your domain such as webmaster@yourname.com, sales@yourname.com, etc. By default, all e-mail addressed to your domain will forward to your real e-mail address provided by your local Internet service provider (ISP). For convenience, specific mail forwarding options are available if you need specific addresses each to be forwarded to different addresses on the internet. For example, e-mail addressed to webmaster@yourname.com could forward to an account at AOL, but sales@yourname.com could forward to a Yahoo account.
Catch-All
Catch allows you to receive email on unlimited incoming e-mail address.
